
Born in 1926 inside The Watson Hotel, Celia’s Kitchen and Social Bar has always reflected Miami’s vibrant spirit. What began as a tropical hideaway grew richer in 1959 when Cuban newcomers brought their culinary traditions to the city and our kitchen.
Today, it’s a modern gathering spot for craft drinks and Cuban-fusion dishes. From our famous Cuban Sandwich and Empanadas to refreshing mojitos and classic daiquiris, every bite and sip celebrates Miami’s history, flavor, and community.
Was born and raised in Miami in a Lebanese family where food, tradition, and hospitality were at the center of everyday life. Inspired by his grandmother’s large family gatherings and his father’s renowned restaurants in Miami and Puerto Rico, Damian developed a passion for cooking at an early age.
After training at The Forge under Alvin Malnik and graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, he continued his career at Joe’s Stone Crab before launching his own catering company. Today, as Executive Chef at Celia’s Kitchen and Social Bar, Damian brings together bold flavors, family traditions, and elevated comfort food inspired by his Lebanese roots and Miami upbringing.


Originally from Cuba, Tomas brings a strong hospitality background and a passion for guest service to his role as Restaurant Supervisor at Celia’s Kitchen and Social Bar. A graduate of Camilo Cienfuegos University, he combines years of hands-on experience in restaurant operations, bartending, and service with a warm and professional approach to hospitality.
Known for his leadership and attention to detail, Tomas plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations while creating a welcoming experience for every guest who walks through the door.
With a passion for craft cocktails and hospitality, Robert Romero brings creativity, energy, and years of industry experience to the bar at Celia’s Kitchen and Social Bar. His background spans both mixology and brewing, allowing him to create balanced, flavor-driven cocktails with a thoughtful approach to every detail.
Robert also served as a brewmaster at Biscayne Bay Brewing Company, where he refined his expertise in flavor development and beverage craftsmanship. His dedication to quality and guest experience helps create a memorable and elevated atmosphere at the restaurant.
